Blue Beauty - Necklace

One stunning lampwork focal, and some colour coordinated firepolish beads make for a handsome necklace. The "v" shape necklace is extremely flattering.

Component list below.

Supplies needed (for 16 inch necklace)

2 pieces about 11 inches long	Extreme Sterling Silver Softflex - .019 Med - 30 ft (While the Extreme silver isn't completely necessary for this project - you could use the plain silver instead, I still like the Extreme because where the beading wire does show, at the clasps, it looks so much nicer when not covered. It also makes transparent beads a little sparklier.

20 of	10 mm F/P Chevron Nuggets - Sapphire (25)
24	Swarovski - Bicone 4mm - Cobalt Satin (25)
44 - (there is more than enough in a package!)	Czech 6/0 Seedbeads - 20g - S/L Crystal
3 of	Sterling Silver - Crimps - 2 x 2 Tubes (50)
2 of	Sterling Beads - High Polish 3x4 mm Sharp Rondelles (4g)
3 of	Sterling Crimp Bead Covers - 2.5 mm (10)
1	Sterling Curvy Lobster Claw - 7 x 11mm (1)
1 - 1.25 inches	Sterling Chain - mc Squared Chain (inch)

1	Focal bead - 18 - 20 mm long - in this case, a dark blue dichroic glass bead, handmade by moi. ;-)

Assembly Tips

String two separate strands of beads, chevron nuggets, spaced out with 6/0 seedbeads and 4mm bicones. Add one extra 4mm bicone at one end (see left side above) - this will be at the centre next to the focal bead.

Thread both strands through the sterling Sharp Rondelles. These beads are great next to lampwork, as they seat nicely in the larger holes, and tend to compensate for some of the irregularly shaped ends of some handmade beads. ;-) (They help them hang straighter if the end isn't level)
Add your focal bead, another rondelle, and a crimp.
Secure the crimp bead.
Cover it with a crimp cover, and
Trim off the ends
Slide the beads up to the focal bead,
and add your clasp, securing with a crimp bead and cover.
and add a short length of chain to clasp into. (Again, with a crimp and crimp cover.) The chain acts as a chain extender. Enjoy!
