Frothy Copper Beaded Chains
Design by Jennifer Tough
This project was a bit of a blast from the past...I made my first version of this at 16. I'm not going to say how many years ago that was! :-) This is a classic project that is used to learn how to work with jump rings.
The big plus to this project is that it's inexpensive! The bracelet can be made for under $10, and not much more for the necklace.
For the bracelet you only need 2 packs of jump rings, 1 package of 6/0 seeds, and a clasp...That's it! (assuming you have your basic tools already)
The necklace used up 5 packs of jump rings, 1 clasp, and 1 package of 6/0 seeds.
To start the project:
- Open up a bunch of jump rings, and slide on a single seedbead onto each one.
- Close the first beaded jump ring, and then attach the next one. Close the ring, and keep on until you have reached your desired length.
- Go back to the beginning and attach a beaded jump ring onto each of the jump rings on the long length of chain you just made. Let them drop from either the top or the bottom of the chain.
The various components that I used are listed below.
