Spring Fling - Bracelet

Design by Dwyn Tomlinson

I told you that the "Baby Squares" cried out to be made in different colours. Here is a variation in Aqua and Green. By switching to seedbeads to separate the main beads, and using all glass beads instead of some sterling, the cost to make goes down dramatically.

Component list below.

Pick out coordinating and complementary beads from the assorted strand of lampwork beads. Separate them with a size 11/0 seedbead, a size 6/0, and an 11/0.

Adjust the length as necessary by adding or removing seedbeads before adding the clasp.

Supplies needed

11 beads from a strand of . . . Lampwork Silver Foil Tablets - Assorted (Sorry, no longer available)

1 piece stringing cable about 10 inches long

SoftFlex - .019 Medium - 30 ft.

1 clasp

Sterling Toggle Clasp - 10mm - Minimalist (1) or

Sterling Toggle Clasp - 12 mm - Minimalist Too (1)

12 from a package of . . . Czech 6/0 Seedbeads - 20g - S/L Crystal

22 from a hank of . . . Czech 11/0 Hank - Metallic Light Yellow (Green) Solgel

2 from a package of . . . Sterling Silver - Crimps - 2 x 2 Tubes (50)

Tools needed

Flush Cutters - to cut cable

Crimp pliers See here for crimping instructions.

The beads are separated and set off by a size 11/0 seedbead, a size 6/0, and an 11/0. Bet you have some of these already laying around!

A well crimped crimp can look nice by itself without a cover too!

A few extra seedbeads at the bar end of the toggle make the clasp easier to fasten.
