Hold your horses! Don’t everyone stampede into the store at once! We gotz some rulez!
We are cracking open the door and peering out. We want to see you again, but we are going to be super, super cautious.
So here is how it works.
No more than seven people in the store at once, and two of those seven are staff!
So – Limit is 5 customers.
Wear a mask.
Hand sanitizer at the door.
We are taking reservations. If you are coming with someone in your “bubble” – please make reservations for each of you. The seven bodies in the store is hard and fast. Although, I’m going out on a limb here to say that the bodies themselves are unlikely to be hard or fast. 😉
If you drop by without a reservation – you may have to wait outside the store until someone leaves. Just like a restaurant.
Current hours Open: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Saturday. 11 – 6
Contactless curbside pickup is still available.
I think it goes without saying that if you feel sick, have been in contact with someone who feels sick, if you have been out of the country recently (you are supposed to be in 14 days isolation anyway) – any of those things, please order on-line.
We’re not insisting on gloves, because what would be the point of looking at beads then. We will be sanitizing high-touch surfaces frequently. And social distancing – which severely limits our ability to help you up close. The washrooms will be open, and sanitized along with the rest of the store, but it’s up to you to decide about using them.
And we reserve the right to change any and all of that, including closing again, as we see fit.
Is Something Missing from your Stash? 10% to help you fill in the gap!
10% off – everything*. We want to do our part to help you stay sane and creating. Beads and crafting and creativity are helping us all cope, and if your stash doesn’t have everything you need – we’ve got incentive and justification – 10% – so you can get that critical item. Or not so critical. We don’t judge. 😉
(*Almost everything. You can see in the shopping cart if it is on sale or not. Some of the manager’s specials are more than 10% off. Way more!)
So, 10% off – what have you run out of, or want to try?
Gift Certificates – a great gift for the crafty person in your life, or just as a way to say – “You really need a hobby. ”
Manager’s specials, to make room for new stuff. These are selling fast – don’t dawdle! Scoop ’em up!
COVID-19 – This Week – June 17
See above – we are opening the doors. Not throwing them open, just cracking the door open a bit.
Open for Shopping – Wednesday – Saturday 11-6. Reservations preferred.
Monday – Tuesday, we will be in-store picking and shipping. Curbside pick up available. No in-store access.
Online orders, pre-paid only, can be picked up curbside 11-6, Monday – Friday.
- If you are local – you should see an option to select “Store Pick-up/Walk in” in the shopping cart as the shipping method. You will not be charged for shipping, even if you are under the free shipping limit.
- If, for some reason, you do not see the option for “Store Pick-up/Walk in” – say, your address on file falls outside the computer’s definition of “local,” but you still want to come and get it, then you can choose “call-back” as an option, and tell us you want to pick it up in the comment box, and we will remove the shipping, and call you for payment info.
- We will call when it is ready and arrange a pick-up window of time. Pick-ups will be on Mondays to Fridays, 11-6 pm.
Picking orders is still taking a little longer than it used to because there are less of us and re-stocking takes longer, as it takes longer for orders to get to us too. However, we just got a bunch of restock in and we are tubing like mad to get them out on the wall for you – it’s Toho-city here right now. Do email us if you want to know when something is going to be back in stock!
A number of you have looked at your order status and have seen “Waiting Warehouse XF.” This means that items needed for your order are temporarily not in our store, but have to be brought from another location – normally this would be a few hours or maybe a day. And in normal times this meant the order would be complete the same day or next day. But, given that “normal” left town some time ago, right now we sometimes see a few days delay. And we are not impressed, but there you go – we are all doing the best we can. It has been getting better and we expect it to continue to improve. We are still trying to ship your order in as complete a state as possible.
Phones are being answered Monday through Saturday (11 am – 6 pm). If you need answers about does “this” go with “that,” just ask and we will try to help.
We are very grateful for your support and patience in these challenging times. We are cheered and warmed by your little notes of good will and good wishes. We appreciate every one of them.
Don’t forget to browse through the Manager Specials – some pretty good deals there!
Can’t find what you are looking for? Feel free to just email us and ask!
Well, 2020 has been one doozy of a year so far! COVID-19 has turned the world upside down and everyone – businesses and individuals – have needed to rejig their lives.
Don’t worry, though. That light at the end of the social distancing tunnel isn’t a train – IT IS A COMPUTER MONITOR! Starting in July, BeadFX’s Virtual Summer School will be open to all! Whether you are in Toronto, further afield in Canada, the United Sates or the somewhere in rest of the World, our virtual classes are open to you.
These classes are an easy and relaxing way to learn basic skills or up your game with more advanced techniques. Most classes will feature materials you may already have at home; you can always order from BeadFX to supplement your stash. Other classes may require a kit that will be mailed by the instructor directly to you.
Virtual classes will be brought to you through ZOOM. All you’ll need is a computer monitor (with a speaker/microphone), IPad or tablet. Classes will be interactive and instructors will be able to answer your questions and provide demonstrations. Once you’ve registered, about 10 days prior to the class, you will be sent the class instructors and the electronic link to the virtual class. We have made changes to our class cancellation policy, so be sure to review it.
More information will be coming soon about the classes being offered. If there is a class you would like to take, please let Pam, our Class Coordinator, know at email@example.com. She’ll do her best to see what can be done.
