Be Prepared: Make Some Hostess Gifts

December 7, 2019 @ 10:00 am EST - 5:00 pm EST

Cdn $40.00 – Cdn $70.00

Course outline: Yes, you could just take along a bottle of wine, but here’s a chance to up your game. I have many easy kits for small projects like earrings, purse jewellery/zipper pulls, and pendants that could be used as a hostess gift during the holiday season. Best of all, you don’t need to venture into crowed malls to shop!

You can register for a three-hour morning or afternoon session OR you can register for a full-day option which will save you a bit of money.

I will bring 32 different projects, some in more than one metal—and all are suitable for beginning chainmaillers. Kits will range from $11.99 to $65.99, with the majority being less than $20.

Skill level: All levels

Prerequisite: Some experience with opening and closing jump rings

Technique: Chainmaille

Bring to class:

  • Eyeglasses or magnifiers for close-up work.
  • Pliers designed for chain mail will be provided for class use, but you may wish to bring your personal tools.
  • Lunch or snack if you are choosing to stay for the full day. Coffee and cold drinks will be available.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
