Hot Connections: Rolling and Wavy Bangles

February 23, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

Cdn $90.00 +Kit fee: $50 - $100 depending on the kit chosen, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: You can never have too many bangles, and if you do, you can give them away as presents! In this class with instructor Iris Rogers Melamed we will learn how to make two sets of bangles: a set of three interlocking rolling bangles and a set of three wavy bangles. The interlocking bangles require a four-step process – solder, anneal, saw, solder so there will be lots of soldering practice. The wavy bangles involve some heavy forging on specialized forms, as well as soldering. Note: a kit is required; see below.

Specify which kit (listed below) you want at the time of registration, payable to the instructor the day of the class:

  • $50: For both sets of Wavy and Rolling bangles; each set of bangles consists of 1 sterling silver, 1 brass and 1 copper bangle.
  • $70: Rolling bangles: 1 each in sterling silver/brass/copper; Wavy bangles: 3 sterling silver bangles
  • $80: Rolling bangles: 3 sterling silver; Wavy bangles: 1 each in sterling silver/brass/copper
