Free – Cdn $50.00 +Kit fee: $25, payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: Have you ever collected pebbles from the beach and then wondered what you could do with them? Join Ann Shewan to learn how to drill different beach pebbles and then turn them into earrings, bracelets or necklaces. Once Ann has demonstrated how to drill the different stones you will be given stones to practice with When you feel comfortable using the rotary tool you can select pebbles from Ann’s vast collection and start creating your own unique pieces.

Ann will have a selection of findings that you can use to create your individual designs; chain or leather is available to purchase in the store.

Skill level: Beginner

Prerequisite: N/A

Technique: Drilling stones

Bring to class:

  • Students can bring stones that they have collected over the years or charms they would like to incorporate into their pieces.
  • If students have their own rotary tool (dremal) and would like to work with it class they are more than welcome to bring it but it is highly recommend that they bring an international chuck, available on Amazon for $15. Most rotary tools don’t have the correct attachment to hold the smaller diamond drill bits.
  • An apron and Hand towel.

Of special note: the class patterns and instructions from our classes are for your personal use only. Please respect the intellectual property of our artists/instructors by not sharing, selling, or teaching the patterns you receive from the classes you take.
