Course outline: Do you want to create jewellery for yourself but have no idea where to start? Join Pamela Kearns for this ‘newbie’ course and discover just how easy creating jewellery can be. Participants will be able to create up to three of pairs of earrings and a bracelet. Mokume Gane – Woodgrain Patterns in Mixed Metals

Course outline: Mokume Gane is a Japanese term used to describe mixed-metal sheet that imitates the look of wood grain. In this class you will learn how to use pre-made copper and brass metal billets (fused stacks of layered metals) to create a customized sheet of woodgrain patterned metal. The patterned metal will then be used to create a simple domed pendant, or seamless ring. The class fee includes a 1″x 1″ piece of 14ga copper/brass modkume billet to pattern. Embossed and Anodized Niobium Earrings

Course outline: Liz Kennedy will introduce you to the wonders of niobium metal! Beautiful colours, light weight and hypoallergenic. You will be making two pair of niobium earrings. You will be using embossing folders to emboss 30 gauge niobium sheet metal pieces. You will be finishing the metal then anodizing it using an electric anodizer to the colours you choose. Creating Canes with Polymer Clay

Course outline: This class is about canes. We’ll make leaves of different shapes and colours, simple flowers, and explore colour relationships. What works together, what should be kept apart. It’s an intermediate class but a keen beginner should be able to keep pace; there’s no pressure. Each student will work at her own comfort level. Course outline: Join Anne Marie Desaulniers to create, and experiment with Quick Cure Clay. Learn how to use this new medium, while making fabulous pendants, &/or cabochons.
