Turtle Tab Setting a Cabochon or Flat Back Crystal or Flat Bead

Course outline: Here is an opportunity to create a pendant for your favourite cabochon or flat stone bead! With guidance from Liz Kennedy, you’ll set your cabochon in copper sheet metal using tabs which have been cut using shears. Using various stamps, hammers and home-made stamps, you’ll texture the metal, adding strength to your pendant. Finally, a self-bail will be made and you can choose to add a patina to emphasize the textural details. You’ll create your own design and can make your piece as large or as small as you wish.
