Not your grandmother bees' wax. This is a synthetic bee's wax for conditioning thread, especially used for bead weaving projects and sculptural work, but in general for bead weaving. It stiffens the thread and given the end work a stiffer feel. Also has no odour and less likely to attract "critters" which is apparently a concern in some areas (in those areas where "critters" is a normal part of the vocabulary). This was a big hit in the Cynthia Rutledge class.
