Golden Obsidian is a variety of Obsian, a naturally occurring volcanic stone that is most like a glass. It is a shiny black with a golden sheen. Obsidian is produced when lava erupts from a volcano and cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Obsidian can be knapped, like flint, and formed into a blade many times sharper than steel surgical blades.
