Convert clasps from lobster to barrel-type screw-in clasp with magnetic back up. Use the lobster clasp and ring to hook into the existing findng, and the barrel part becomes the new clasp. Barrel clasps tend to undo themselves - and the magnet makes these more secure.
The necklace will also be about 40 mm longer than it was - due to the extra length of the new clasp. One silver, one brass in a handy box. Better for necklaces than bracelets - because of the length it adds.
