These are 3 mm long, well, I get a measurement of 2.7 mm - so they will cover a 2 mm crimp. These are plated with silver (the metal). Plating is not as durable as Sterling silver, which is solid, but these are also cheaper. Squeeze closed over a finished crimp to hide it and make it look like a round bead. Also useful to fill in gaps that have opened up in the necklaces that you made before you really got it all figured out. ;-)
These curved covers slip over your crimps after you have secured them, and squeeze them gently shut with the outer curved notch in your crimp pliers, taking care to align the ends. Lead-free/Nickel-free.
