If you have an embroidery piece, make a little slit in the backing material and slide the earring finding through before securing. If you have a large earring like a shell or cabochon, glue the pad to the item. To adjust the tightness (against the lobe of your ear) gently bend the piece between the pad and the hinge (see illustration) to open the gap for your ear. Plated brass.
