Approx. 20 ga wire - nice general purpose gauge. Fine silver is pure, 99.9% silver (as opposed to sterling - which is 92.5% silver). Round in profile. Temper is dead soft (very easy to bend.). Fine silver does not tarnish to the same degree as sterling, does not work-harden (get stiff and brittle as you bend it) like sterling, and is used in lampworking for fuming and decorating beads.
