16 gauge. A substantial, large wire. Fine silver is pure, 99.9% silver (as opposed to sterling - which is 92.5% silver). Round in profile. Temper is dead soft (very easy to bend.). Fine silver does not tarnish to the same degree as sterling, does not work-harden (get stiff and brittle as you bend it) like sterling. As much as possible, we try to send your order in one piece.
