This is a bonded nylon thread. Bonded means that is has a coating that increased durability, adds resistance to abrasion and fraying, adds a little stiffness, and makes it slightly thicker than it might be otherwise.

It is Tex 30 - which is more or less equivalent to size AA - near as we can determine.

Tex size is the weight in grams of 1,000 meters of thread. So, if 1,000 meters of thread weighs 1 gram, then the Tex size is 1; if 1,000 meters weighs 30 grams, it is Tex 30, etc. So Tex relates to thickness, but is also influenced by the general heaviness of the type of material used.
