There was a label on these that said Peddles. I strongly suspect that Petals was the term they were aiming for, and something got lost in translation. They are a top-drilled drop shape, but not flat, with a bit of a twist and curve, like ... petals!

Photographing Rose Quartz on a white background is something of a lost cause - there just isn't enough contrast to make it look nice. So the black background is black velvet, and the grey background is, for those of you familiar with old-school photography, a 15% grey card. At least you can see the beads this way.

12mm x 16mm Approx. 19 on 16 inch (40.64 cm) strand. (strand)

Stone Beads - Limited Edition - Peddles - Rose Quartz (strand)

Quartz crystal, also known as "Rock Crystal" - a colourless transparent stone - origin of the term "rhinestone." Small, tumbled quartz stones were found in the bed of the river Rhine and initially thought to be diamonds. When it became apparent that these stones did not have the hardness of diamond, but were a passable simulation, the term "rhinestone" came to be synonymous with "imitation diamond."

We try to choose consistent stock, but the nature of natural stones is that there will be inconsistency between strands and between individual beads.
