Magnify 1.8 x and 4.8 x. Oh - I loooooove my magnifier - I use it for everything - from jewelry making to pulling splinters to lampworking. Yes - it is my secret weapon in lampworking - it allows me to see the fine detail where my own natural ability falls short of my desire. I like to pretend it's a product of aging, but the reality is - I was never blessed in the close-up focussing department! Goes onto your head with the easily adjusted velcro strap. The visor pivots up and down, so you can swing it out of position. The little round eyepiece pivots up and down for extra magnification. The key to using these is that, unlike your natural vision - you don't re-focus your eyes to compensate for an item being out of focus, you move your head, or the item. So when you pick up your work to look at it - you move toward you or away to bring it into focus. It is actually relaxing to use - as you don't have to fight to see. I swear by these. This is not the top end model - but will get you going. I have multiples - and always take one to a class. I have no idea how you live with out one.
By the each.
