18 ga wire - fairly thick. Actual stainless steel. Fairly stiff. Stiffer than the copper cored wire. 10 yds/9.14 m on a spool. 0.04 in diameter.
Flameworkers! This stainless steel wire is great for making your own flamework / glass top headpins. The thinner gauges need care to prevent melting through, but are easier to bend after - the thicker gauges are more robust in the flame, but stiffer. Cut a short piece of wire, and work the glass directly onto the wire, and then kiln and anneal.
