If your creative musings are taking you off in other directions than straight beading – and why not? – then you’ll BEE happy to know – we have more of those options for you! In fact, we have a set of options to take you to the edge and right over the border, and if you are drawing a blank, we’re happy to provide a guide. That’s a set of border stamps, a shaped aluminum blank and a guidebook of stickers – that is! I love stamping on the aluminum – possibly because I tried the brass and copper and wasn’t very good at it, but the aluminum is easy to use and takes a really nice impression that looks very good. The stickers have grids and lines and stuff to keep you all lined up and sorted out and centered!
If, when it rains, you get out the resin and pour – then you know you are always on the hunt for new bezels to contain your resinous creations! We have more of the Susan Lenart Kazmer bezels for your pouring delight! A variety of shapes and a choice of colors!
And if you are a Mover and Shaker in the world of Sizzix Movers and Shapers, then we have some new dies for you! From the basic but-oh-so-useful circle set, to the elegant feather with thinlit – the quality of the cut that you get using a Big Kick or similar and these dies is so superior to hand cutting – you’ll never want to go back!
And when it comes time to display your finished creations – we have these wonderful floating display boxes. We are quite taken with these and have been waiting for them with bated breath. These are a hinged frame – like a clam shell – with a stretchy film on each side. You open it up – put your jewelry, small objet d’art, etc, in it, and close it up, and the film stretches and conforms around your item, making it appear to float in space.
The film can accommodate a surprisingly three-dimensional object, and yet does not develop a memory of that object, meaning that you can take it out, and put something else in there, without it retaining the shape of the first item! Whether you do craft shows and would like to display earrings or bracelets in a more dynamic way, or just to prevent them from walking off, or if you want to display a treasured item at home that you seldom wear, but love to look at, like a favorite lampwork bead or beaded pendant, these are lovely and versatile solution to your display problem! Available in black and white and in two sizes and come with an optional clear hanging loop.
PS – yes – we have some actual new beads this week too – Matte Porcelain Jasper. This distinctive jasper, with its muted purples and pinks, greys and whites, is always an elegant choice!
As always – lots of great old stuff and great new stuff here! Cheers!
