BeadFX is very fortunate to be able to attract high-calibre instructors to teach in our store. This coming year we will have several instructors with specialties in various jewellery-making mediums including lampworking, beadwork and metalwork. June – the month of weddings, proms and parties! With those events come the need for gifts – and a gift of handmade jewellery is always appreciated. Jean Power Making a Return Visit to BeadFX

We had so much fun with Jean Power last year that we’ve asked her back again for three days of classes! Jean Power is an award-winning jewellery designer, writer and teacher based in London, England. She first began making jewellery in 2001, having already spent many years painting as well as exploring different aspects of fibre and textile arts. While she continues some of these interests, beading, wirework and chainmaille are her main love and she tries to use them in conjunction with her other interests. Jean Power came to beadFX this past week to teach three incredible classes. I was lucky enough to squeeze into Geometric Stars on Saturday and I am so glad I did.  I’d been working on her Reversible Triangle Pendant pattern for a while using different colour combos. I finally settled on a bright, happy colourway to complement a top I bought for the Swarovski cruise.  Jean’s instructions are fantastic and have excellent diagrams with them.
