(Components list at bottom of page)
by: Dwyn Tomlinson
Two weeks ago - Steph gave us her take on purple turquoise, with a vibrant colour combo of purple and turquoise.
This week, we have my take on purple and turquoise, with a much softer colour combo, combining purple turquoise with Swarovski Rose Water Opal.
This large pinch bail also makes hanging this pendant very easy and quick. These piece goes together in minutes!
Attach the bail to the pendant stone, by lining the pegs inside up with the hole and gently squeezing closed. You may need to use pliers - as the metal is quite stiff, but take care not to scratch the finding. (I used the nylon-jawed pliers).
Cut your length of jewelry cable (about 20 inches), and string and slide the pendant to the center. Add an 8 mm round Swa crystal to each side (round fits better against the bail) - then 3 x 12 mm squares, 2 x 6 mm bicone crystals, 3 more squares, 3 more bicones, 2 squares, and finish off with enough 6 mm crystals to give you the length you want. (I used 11, and with the long clasp - overall length is 18 inches.)
