Catch a shooting star and hang it from your ear,
never, never let it go! 

These are statement earrings - real "shoulder dusters!"

Additional supplies required - elastic band. 

1. Take all 3 pieces of leather and cut in half.

2. Take the halves and cut them in half - but keep them in two separate piles.

3. Take one of the piles of halves and put the leather through a 9 mm Jumpring - move the jumpring to the centre of the leather pieces. Do the same with the other pile of the leather pieces. 

4. Fold the leather pieces in half, with the jumpring in the centre. Use an elastic band or a piece of tape and put it around the leather just under the jumpring to hold it in placefor the next step. 

5. Put your beads on the leather and make knots at the bottom of the strand or by adding one of the 5mm Leather Cord Endcaps. Do this on both sets of leather. I used all 10 end caps, 10 of the 4 x 6 mm sharp rondelles and 12 oaty ovals.

6. Cut one foot of the 22 gauge wire. Remove the elastic band or tape and wrap the wire around the leather.

7. Take your earring finding and make a loop on the bottom with your round nose pliers. This is to attach the jumprings.

8. Open a 7 mm Jumpring and add the earring and the comet tail charm. Do this on both earrings.

9. Attach a second 7mm Jumpring (to the jumpring with the leather and comet tail) and attach it to the loop you made on the earring finding.

10. Add the earring backs and your Shooting Star earrings are done!!
