The soft pinks and blues of the Powder Blue Impression Jasper strike me as very soothing and pretty. I went to town and make a whole suite of items from this lovely stone. (A few have already gone up in previous weeks and watch for a couple more in upcoming weeks

My first thought was to combine gold-plated metal findings and beads with the Powder Blue Impression Jasper, but I found I did not care for the look. The bright copper metal beads and finding - that was another story, however! The combination is gorgeous! The pinky tones of the bright copper perfectly complement the soft translucent aqua and contrasting opaque pinky color of this Impression Jasper.

Necklace 2 - Airy Fairy

What do you do when you have some bigger-sized beads, not really enough of them, and you don't want to weigh yourself down anyway? Why - you use wire and jump rings to turn your beads into a chain! A single 10 mm bead, with bead caps, hangs from the same style of connector as the Moon Princess necklace. In the absence of remembering to get headpins, I put a crimp bead onto the wire, folded the wire up around the crimp bead, did a wrap, and then crimped the crimp. This served fine. I added the bead cap, bead, bead cap, and did a wrapped loop at the other end, and used a jump ring to attach to the connector. For the bead chain, I make a wrapped loop, trim the end of the wire, slide on the bead, and make a wrapped loop at the other end. Connect these elements with jump rings. Add a clasp and a short chain of jump rings so that you can fine tune the length.
