The starting point for this necklace was a strand of the little 'tooth' shaped pieces of s56460 5x15 Flat Chips Impression Jasper. The aqua/turquoise tones represent the water of the Nile River and the sandy veining the sand of the surrounding deserts. The 2mm fire polish beads were added to give a hint of sparkle, like the sunlight bouncing off the waves.Although I have never taken a cruise down the Nile, this is how I imagine the Nile to look. Maybe someday I will have a chance to find out.
