Kick off the New Year with a Resolution to Learn!

Do you make New Year Resolutions? Personally, I find they focus so much on the negatives we need to change rather than the positives we want to bring into our lives. Learning is like that. We know that learning something new will make us feel better, give us a challenge and give us more positive energies. Yes, as the class coordinator I’m biased, but I like it when I’m on the other side of the table learning from someone who is enthusiastic about teaching me about something I want to learn. My own focus for 2017 will be to learn more about knotting and metalwork. I might even squeeze in a lampwork class!

As we’ve done in previous years, we are holding our Meet the Teacher event. On Saturday, January 7, you will be able to drop by BeadFX anytime between 11:00am and 3:00pm to see a preview of the projects scheduled for early 2017 and meet the incredibly talented instructors who are offering them! Of course we’ll have incentives for signing up that day as well as draw prizes for everyone who attends. Complete details are on-line now for the FREE event.

The first half of January features four new classes. Pamela Kearns will be teaching a loom project using the new Clover Mini Loom that is easy to use and very portable. Cindy Goldrick has a new wirework project using jigs. Peyote-lovers will enjoy a new pendant design with Sureka Sriharan. Chainmaille enthusiasts will have fun with Gillian Clark’s new project. The start to the New Year has several other repeat classes that will whet your creative appetite!
