What do you think of, when I talk about things that go bump in the night? It’s Halloween on this side of the world, so definitely a current topic!

Okay, maybe not everything goes bump, but there are definitely some scary things out there. Especially on this particular night!!
Ghoulies and ghosties, and not to forget creepies and crawlies!!! My skin gets goose bumps, just thinking about things that go bump in the night!!!!
Do you suppose there’s a beading genre that celebrates this particular holiday? No, I don’t mean the Mexican Day of the Dead, because that’s another type of celebration, and it has some pretty cool traditions, including Sugar Skulls. Who could be creeped out by those?
I think Halloween may be a little more sinister. Why don’t we take a look?
The creepiest are the eyeballs, although the bloody necklace is a close second!
According to Wikipedia – “It is widely believed that many Halloween traditions originated from ancient Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain; that such festivals may have had pagan roots; and that Samhain itself was Christianized as Halloween by the early Church. Some believe, however that Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, separate from ancient festivals like Samhain.”
Further – “Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.” There’s a lot more, but I’m going to let you read it for yourselves!
These ghosties are not very scary, but I couldn’t leave Halloween alone without a few, wee ghosties!!! Could I?
Does BeadFX have any scary stuff? Well yes, skulls for sure, and perhaps a spider or two, but definitely no eyeballs!!! At least I hope not, but then I haven’t looked!
I haven’t really celebrated this holiday for years, but good for those of you that still do! I will force myself to partake in the chocolate though, in case anyone is offering!
If your family participates, enjoy and be safe! If you don’t, the universal sign for non-participation, is to turn off your front-porch light. But do beware, because things that go bump in the night, always do their best work in the dark! Bwaa haa haa!!!!
