So, Halloween in just around the corner; autumn leaves have changed colour and some parts of Canada and the United States are already experiencing snow. What’s next? Well, the holidays!
Now is the time that many people are thinking of what holiday gifts they need to buy for family, friends, teachers and colleagues. How about hand-making a gift instead? It won’t necessarily save you money, but it will be more personal and thoughtful than a store gift card. It will be unique because it won’t be available anywhere else. It is an opportunity to share your special talents and skills. Small hand-made gifts can accompany a larger purchased gift.
Our early-November classes will give opportunities and skills to create hand-make gifts. How about a quick cure clay pendant from Anne Marie Desaulniers‘ classes? A chainmaille ornament using the skills that Gillian Clarke will teach? Iris Rogers Melamed will teach you how to make sterling silver rings – perfect jewellery for friends (and yourself!) Barbara Colautti, Pamela Kearns, Deborah Beesley, Christine Woollacott and Deb Muss all have classes that will contribute to your gift-giving needs! Of course, you can also use open metal studios and sessions to work on projects with helpful assistance.
