Yes, ice is nice, but this early in November? Is that really fair?
It snowed on Monday, and I’m sure that it will snow again soon! We woke up to -15C temperatures, on Tuesday morning, and I must say, no one was really ready for it. Okay, I do live in Canada, but we’re used to it being a little milder at this time of the year. Snow tire weather is now!!!
Yet, The only good thing about “ice is nice” weather, is the fact that it reminds us of the upcoming holiday season. But looking at the slightly crazed looks of some of our customers, it’s apparent that the rush is now on!!! Good thing we have a sale on, even though it’s officially over today. You still have time to shop! Our physical store front, closes the door at 6 pm sharp, yet our on-line computers will accept orders until midnight!! You night owls, have such an advantage over the sleepyheads!!
Snow, ice, and crystals, all remind me of the holidays! Do you remember waking up early as a child? Tiptoeing quietly downstairs (but in my case, it was on the same floor), and staring with wonder, at all the sparkly tinsel, lights, and the brightly wrapped presents under the tree. Did our parents get up before us, or didn’t they actually know that those darned lights were a fire hazard? Gulp! Anyway, it was positively magical!!
To duplicate that effect, on a much smaller scale, I recommend a liberal dose of Swarovski Crystals, Presciosa, or even Czech Firepolish for a completely different look! Some of you are experts at transforming crystals to jewelry, but for the rest of us, all it takes is a metal finding, and a little dab of glue. Flatbacks, bicones, hot fix, rounds, Rivolis, oh my!!!! But then again, how about stringing a bunch of donuts, on some Memory Wire? It couldn’t get any easier, and bling is what it’s all about during the holiday season!!
By the way, all the jewelry photos are BeadFX Inspirations! Click on the link, then scroll down for free projects, with instructions!
I know that the holidays are all about giving, but do remember to treat yourself to something sparkly! So, ice is nice, but Swarovski’s are even nicer!
