Is it time yet? I believe that it is!

Is it time yet, but why do you ask? It’s actually past time, but then that’s something that you’ll just need to deal with.

Of course, when I ask “Is it time yet?”, I’m alluding to the fact that the holidays are drawing very close, but what does that mean to you?

For me, it’s Christmas, but depending on your family, religious, and personal traditions, many of you, celebrate other winter holidays! It’s all good!!

“Is it time yet?”, also means have you made your holiday gifts yet? Part of my holiday tradition, is to make a few handmade gifts every year. I’m happy to say that I’ve finished mine, well before the deadline, but I know that there’s still time to squeeze in a few more. I think that I’m finished, then something comes up, and I end up making more. Perhaps I should prepare for this in advance, but where’s the fun in that?

Of course, no peeking until after Christmas, but I do promise to show you after the big day!

What else have I been up to? I’ve been attempting to organize my chaos, but then I had to put those plans on hold to get ready for the holidays. Funny how that happens? Both my Stitch Meditations, and Bead Journal Project pieces were set aside, because of my organization drama, but I do hope to re-start soon. At this time of the year, I definitely need the stress reducing benefits!

This is also the time of year, to start thinking about classes for 2019! I’ve already scheduled January, February, and one class in March, but there’s still more to be done. For January, it’s a new take on freeform peyote, February brings the return of my popular needle felted landscape class, then I’ll be running my introductory resin class early in March. Later in March, I want to introduce something new, but I haven’t even started working on my samples yet.

Lot’s of other classes in the new year as well, and a “2020 Class Kick Off Open House” event early in January.

I did manage to bead a small stone, but that’s prep work for my new freeform peyote class! By the way, stitching black beads in winter, is no easy feat!! You definitely need good light!!

Someone recently gifted me with a whole wack of watercolour paper, and I must do something mixed media with it!!! Jewelry of course, but which type? Pendants, earrings, bracelets, or perhaps even a necklace or two? I know that it sounds mysterious, but I promise that it will be fun!!! Of course, I’d need a million years to use up all the paper in my classes, but I’ll certainly give it a try! I promise to show you samples, as soon as they’re ready. Psst, don’t tell anyone, but it may just involve resin as well!!

There’s a lot of making going on right now, all over our beadiful BeadFX world!!! Is it time yet for you to get working on your projects, or are you finished, and just enjoying the music, and sappy holiday movies? If you have any ideas for unique gifts, then please share, because we always love to hear from our customers? Ignore the stress, enjoy the season, and happy making!
