What’s she up to now, you say? Nonsense of course, but not all beading related.
I’m writing a couple of articles, but it’s consuming a lot of my energy. My deadline is looming, so I really do need to get the lead out!
My beading adventures continue, with my freeform peyote, quartz piece. I’m still working on it, but hope to have it finished soon.
I made another mask chain! A butterfly, a heart, and 6/0 seed beads. Simple stringing, but geared toward something a little girl would like.
I converted my Talisman pendant, to a mask holder, but only on a temporary basis. I added a few jump rings, chain, and an open hook. It was designed to be temporary, as the additions can be easily removed. Check out the findings at BeadFX!
I made two more 4” x 4” pieces, for my #brownpaperbagchallenge, over at the Stitch Meditations Facebook group. They are addicting, but I love making them. The results are deliciously intuitive, and unexpected!!
I have a box of stones under my coffee table! Crazy!
But I like to pile them up! It’s another type of doodle, or meditation.
What’s she up to now with those sticks? I sorted through some of my driftwood boxes, then decided to sanitize a few, by boiling, and bleaching them. I do have projects in mind, I promise!
My sun printing efforts were an epic fail (never try to do this on a sun/cloud type of day), however I did get a couple of nice pieces of painted fabric out of it. I used Jacquard Dye-na-Flow paints.
My rust dying was more successful! The first piece, was wrapped around a rusty tin, then the second, around a length of rusty rebar, that I’ve had for years. Now I know what they are capable of, I will be repeating this process soon. I love rusted fabric!
That’s enough for my what’s she up to now post, because it’s time for me to get back to writing. So, what have you been up to?
Keep safe, social distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands!
