Breaking News – and a few views!

My breaking news, is that I’ve been published again, in the Winter Issue of the Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine. Two feature articles!

The Senior Managing Editor, asked if I was interested in submitting pieces for the December issue. I said yes, then we agreed on two collections, and I mailed them to California. One Amulet Pouch, and three Bead Embroidered Pendants were accepted.

I’m absolutely thrilled, as this is an exceptional magazine. Thank you Amber Demien!

Enough breaking news, now a few views!

I purchased some felt balls (9” in circumference, like a dryer ball, only softer) through Monika, at The Olive Sparrow (one of her customers). But I just started working on one last weekend. Started Friday night, then finished Saturday evening. Crazy! An orb, I call “Obsession”. The start of a new Stitch Meditation series.

Is it an orb, or a sphere, or even a folly? No real purpose, and it will not be hanging from my tree. How about displaying on either crystal, or driftwood? Interesting contrasts!

Slow stitching + intuitive bead embroidery!!

A couple of Christmas Stitch Bits!

Two more decorated additions for my wooden bead series. I just can’t resist Dwyn’s challenges!

First. three different colours of Vintaj Patinas. Agate first, Ochre next, then Antique Copper. More Agate added last.

Next, Koi Brilliant Watercolours. It has promise, but more practice required! I used a wet on dry application first, then wet on wet. I kept adding more water, and lighter colours, until I was satisfied.

After the paint dried, I applied two coats of Vintaj Glaze Gloss. It did add the right touch!

My late breaking news story is over, but now I need to think about next year’s submission. Bring on 2021!!

Keep safe, social distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands!
