Cdn $45.00 +Kit fee: $40 payable to the instructor the day of the class.

Course outline: Liz Kennedy will introduce you to the wonders of niobium metal! Beautiful colours, light weight and hypoallergenic. You will be making two pair of niobium earrings. You will be using embossing folders to emboss 30 gauge niobium sheet metal pieces. You will be finishing the metal then anodizing it using an electric anodizer to the colours you choose. You will be anodizing niobium ear wires to match and adding beads or a coil to decorate your ear wires. By the way, these earrings will make excellent gifts at the holidays (just saying).

Skill level: Beginner

Prerequisite: N/A

Technique: Embossing niobium metal using a scrapbook embosser and embossing folders. Trimming, filing and buffing niobium sheet metal. Anodizing niobium using an electric anodizer. Anodizing and decorating niobium ear wires with beads and coil.

They may bring their own scrap book embossing folders if they have them. Some of these tools will be available for use by students if they do not have them.
