Flower Power & Pin Cushions

Flower Power and Pin Cushions Something a little fun this week – driedflower pendants. Dried flowers sammiched in glass. Tasty.   The colors are “random” – meaning, we don’t know what we are going to get– and you don’t either. 😉 But more or less what you see. A nice summerypendant for August.     Fireline– 6lb – in the 300yd spool. I can’t begin to count the number offolks clamoring for the 6lb fireline. The 50ydspools are back in stock too.     Wire, wire, imagination on fire.Intricate Wire by Debbie Benniger. Kick up your wire weaving anotch with …

Not a Bead in Sight!

Not a bead in sight, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t still love them! All it means is that I’ve been otherwise occupied, as you’ll see below. A friend of mine, introduced me to Neurographic Line Drawings (here’s the video I followed), and I’m obsessed with the process! It’s addicting! I will let the drawings speak for themselves, but will refine the process over time. Who would have thought, that I’d actually find a bug in my drawing? It crawled right out, then begged for glitz, and attention!! LOL! Over at the Stitch Meditation Facebook group, I put up …

BeadFX Inspiration – Glitzy Pincushion Ring

Once upon a time – we had a weekly inspiration project – something to help you get inspired. Time has moved on, old computer systems don’t necessarily survive upgrades, roles change and somehow, somewhere – in the hustle and bustle – the weekly inspirations slid to the bottom of the priority heap. Sad, but true. But, we are constantly coming up with great ideas – so we are going to breathe life back into the inspirations – not necessarily with step-by-step projects – but with ideas, suggestions, and inspiration – for you to take, and make your own. Without further …

Indulge without Reservations

No Reservations required – you can now drop in. I can say, without reservation, we’d be delighted to see you. Unreservedly. Come in and compare colors, fondle the beads, and just bask in the glory of so much beady goodness. In-store pick up for online orders is available now, curbside pick up, and of course, shipping. Sadly, no carrier pigeon delivery service is available. The pigeons kept trying to eat the beads, and we don’t want to talk about sparkly bird poop. Size 12/0 This week – we’d like to tempt you with size 12/0 Czech seedbeads. Imagine my surprise …

Reflections and Recollections: The time is now!

Reflections and recollections have been on my mind lately. But what does that have to do with the cost of beads, you say? Not much, but it’s a good opening act, so now I’ll get down to fleshing it all out. I’ve been dithering about during this pandemic, yet it might be time for me to start working on my mixed media jewelry again. Oh, I’ve been playing with this, and that, but mainly work of an ephemeral nature, so nothing that I could make into a collection. I was reminded of this, when I received an email from my …

You can’t stop great International Instructors!

Covid-19 tried to stop us! A closed Canada/US border tried to stop us! Nothing was stopping BeadFX from bringing you Nancy Cain‘s and Diane Whiting’s classes this September! Thanks to technology and shared ingenuity, Nancy and Diane will be teaching at BeadFX – virtually! You will be able to register for the classes and then join the class action directly with the respective instructor in real time. You’ll be able to ask questions, see demonstrations, and get help with any problems during the class. We have discovered that virtual classes reduce some of the ‘experience’ that students feel in a …

Is this a Dagger I see Before me?

Is this a dagger BEAD I see before me, A needle in my hand? Come, let me bead thee. I tie a knot, and I will bead thee well. It was a dark day in in Topaz Montana. The lovely Olive Gold Luster lay in the dusty street, cut down in the prime of her life. She was only 31, but she looked 29. Right away, I suspected foul play. For one, her Pink Opal was missing. Who am I? I’m Matt. Matte Topaz Picasso. I’m the Sheriff in these parts. It’s a peaceful town, but the summers can get …
