Prometheus - a metal clay that can be torch fired, kiln fired, or kiln fired in charcoal. This is a pre-mixed, very dense metal clay that is quite strong in the greenware stage - strong enough to be carved and sanded and handled with ease.
It is not too sticky when wet, dries slowly enough to handle without rushing, and is optimized for carving as it dries, making it a little stiffer than the other clays. It can be readily softened with water.
This is an excellent starter clay, as it is forgiving, does not require mixing, and does not have an intimidating price!
