Well, my Beady Valentines, how will you be celebrating this day? Are chocolates, flowers, cards, or jewelery in your plans? Or, perhaps a quiet dinner at home?
Do you believe that they’re calling these Valentines, vintage? I still remember giving, and receiving them in grade school (does that mean that I’m vintage?). It was such an exciting, yet disappointing process. Especially if you didn’t get one from your latest crush! Sigh! I hear that it’s all or nothing now, so no child is ever left without a Valentine. A very good plan!
Valentine’s Day is just another day in my life, and I expect to spend it working on something creative (after work, of course!). But wait, my Beady Valentines, you’re probably wondering why I don’t do it every day? I do work on class samples, but haven’t worked on much for myself lately. Right now, polymer clay is filling the need to create, but soon it will be replaced by my next favourite technique. I’m such a fickle Valentine! But what will be next, you say? I’m afraid that I do not know! Well, I am working on something called fabric paper, but that’s for another post.
I’m not really a very sentimental person, but do confess to being a secret lover of hearts! It seems that I’ve painted, stitched, stuffed, beaded, wire wrapped, and photographed them. I haven’t actually made any heart shaped cookies, but I’ve certainly eaten some of them. What’s a girl to do?
I’ve seen, and beaded heart shaped leaves, but am still missing the perfect heart shaped rock for my collection. Wouldn’t it be cool, to freeform peyote one of those?
