Many couples come in through our doors at Beadfx. Sometimes individual couples shop together, or the men may sit and enjoy the ambiance of Canada’s favourite bead store.
These pieces are quick and easy and can be a fun way for you to spend some time together. Many times, we may be stuck in deciding what to make for the guys as well – a brother, dad, uncle, cousin, a friend and the list of males in our lives goes on. So have fun!!!!
For Her:
Basic stringing on leather cord and for
the closure tie an overhand knot on either side of a cube (repeat on the opposite
end of the necklace) and tie two slip knots to finish it off – in less than an
hour you’re finished.
The closure is an adjustable one - pull on the ends to tighten - pull from the centre to open. Sometimes referred to as a "love knot" - just tie a knot over one strand with the other end, then do the same to the other side.
For Him:
The technique is the same as for her.
